| Bio: | The following are parts. Read the journal to find the sum that exceeds them.
1. It would be fun to say that I was abandoned in the wilds of California as a young child, and raised by a kindly murder of crows, but it's not true. Actually, it doesn't have to be true for me to say it. That being said.
As a small child, I was abandoned in the wilds of California by my parents, but saved from certain death when I was taken in by a kindly murder of crows.
2. I work as a consultant tech writer. I will often call myself as a "Rock Star" when speaking of myself in my professional capacity, but that's also not strictly true.
For example, unlike a bona fide rock star, I've never had a fan throw her panties at me.
If this ever happens, I guarantee you, I'll be posting it here. Considering the wide variety of people I work with, it is unknown at this time whether I'll be making said post while drunk, because I needed to burn the image out of my brain with alcohol, or whether I'll be making said post while drunk, because having a hottie throw her panties across a conference room table is something to celebrate.
If I ever have a coworker tell me that she would throw her panties at me, except that she's not wearing any, I'll probably make said post three days later from the internet cafe closest to the hotel we decided to go to, because what else are you going to do when you've both been fired for starting a conversation in a conference room with the statement, "If I was actually wearing panties, I would totally be throwing them at you right now."
3. What I do for a living is so intuitive to me that I'm sometimes amazed that people pay me as much as they do for it. Fortunately, such doubts about the value I'm adding to the company are quickly dispelled when somebody gives me something they've written and asks me to translate it from raw information into useful knowledge.
In a manner of speaking, I am a modern day lexalchemist, if I may be so bold as to coin a word.
4. One of my goals in life is to have a word I've invented make it into Webster's dictionary.
5. I've recently scored my first paid fiction sales. You may find my work in the following places:

6. I am an old rivethead.
7. I am way too easily amused by way to many things. I love things that are gleefully offensive, like the movies Blazing Saddles and In Bruges, and the music of such bands as Caustic and Combichrist. I am a fan of art that is painful, like the films No Country for Old Men or Pan's Labyrinth.
I hate stupid movies. Movies by Micheal Bey or that cocksocket who gave us Independence Day are right out. When I saw an automobile being used as a surface-to-air missile to take out a helicopter in the trailer for the latest Die Hard movie, the film went straight to the list of things I will never, ever waste my time watching. If a guy gets hit in the balls in the trailer of a movie, it's very likely that I will not like the movie.
I have a couple of friends that I use as film barometers for any movie that purports to be an action flick or a comedy. If they say, "It. was. fuuuunnnnnn," I know from empirical observation that I will leave the theater wanting to murder the director and producers.
I believe that FX in films should be treated like nuclear weapons in war. Don't use them unless you have to, and if you have to, choose your targets carefully for maximum effect.
8. I hang out with a Blackbird Marmalade creation named Nigel. We take pictures together, and he's got a nice spot in the tank bag of my motorcycle.
9. Nine is a very good number, because it is 32. Twenty-seven is even better, because it is 33. I believe that the phrase, "that makes an even three" makes perfect sense.
